Several baby formula products have a recall in the year 2022. The milk formulas included are Similac, Alimentum or Elecare. Governor Abbott of Texas has issued a recall after several babies were affected by a bacteria found in these products.
Cronobacter in Similac, Alimentum or Elecare
The Food and Drug Administration better known as the “FDA” has issued a warning not to use or buy these formulas produced in a certain factory. Since they can contain a bacteria called “Cronobacter” or “Salmonella”. There is even a case of a death of a baby.
The FDA is investigating the factory where these formulas were produced and found that the tests were positive for the bacteria “Cronobacter”.
Formulas in recall
The products included in the Similac, Alimentum or Elecare recall. They have a code under the container. Until now the codes that contain the following numbers, are those that are in recall.
- The first two digits of the code are from 22 to 37; and
- The code in the container contains K8, SH or Z2; and
- The expiration date is 4-1-2022 (APR 2022) or later.
Do not throw the bottle of formula in the trash. Since each container contains a code depending on the factory where it was produced. Save the bottle of formula for your case.
If your baby is sick from the use of Similac, Alimentum or Elecare formulas, call Attorney Javier Marcos. The office phone number is 713-999-4444. The consultation is always free. The lawyer is very concerned about these cases since he himself is the father of a family.
In our office you do not pay if you do not win the case and here we all speak Spanish. We will send your baby to see a doctor. So that you and your family are calm. For now, the recommendation is to stop using these brands of milk.
