Roblox isn’t just a game—it’s the most popular online gaming platform in the world for children, especially those under 13. Millions of kids log in daily to play, socialize, and create. But behind the colorful avatars and playful graphics, predators have found a hunting ground, using Roblox to target, groom, and exploit minors.
If your child was harmed after meeting an abuser through Roblox, you may have the legal right to pursue justice and compensation. Attorney Javier Marcos & Associates is actively reviewing Roblox sexual abuse cases in 2025, and we are here to help families protect their children and hold predators—and the platforms that allowed it to happen—accountable.
How Predators Use Roblox to Target Children
Roblox markets itself as a safe environment for kids, but many predators use it as a first point of contact. The grooming often begins in-game and quickly moves to private communication apps such as Discord or Snapchat.
Here’s how the abuse typically unfolds:
- A predator befriends a child through Roblox
- They convince the child to move conversations to other platforms
- Grooming escalates into sextortion, sexual exploitation, or in-person meetings
- Many children are threatened, coerced, or manipulated into sharing explicit photos
- Some are lured to meet in person, where physical or sexual abuse occurs
These predators often use Robux (Roblox’s virtual currency), gifts, or emotional manipulation to gain trust and compliance.
Who Qualifies for a Roblox Sexual Abuse Lawsuit in 2025?
Attorney Javier Marcos is reviewing claims that meet the following criteria. If you’re unsure whether your case qualifies—we encourage you to call anyway. We will guide you privately and confidentially.
✅ 1. Contact Began on Roblox
The child must have first met the abuser through the Roblox platform. If they met elsewhere first and later spoke on Roblox, the case does not qualify.
✅ 2. Age Requirements
- The victim must have been under 17 when the abuse began
- We will need the child’s date of birth and age at the time of abuse
✅ 3. Abuser’s Age
- The abuser must be 18 or older and at least 2 years older than the child
- If the age difference is unknown, the case may still qualify
- A parent or guardian must sign if the child is still a minor
Forms of Qualifying Abuse
To pursue a case, the abuse must fall into one or more of the following categories:
Physical Sexual Abuse (In-Person)
The child met the abuser in real life and experienced one of the following:
- Rape or statutory rape
- Attempted rape
- Sexual assault (including touching, oral sex, digital penetration, or forced stimulation)
- Sex trafficking
- Meeting with intent to assault – even if the assault did not occur
Virtual Sexual Abuse
In online-only cases, the following qualify:
- Sextortion, threats, or coercion
- Sending or receiving actual sexually explicit images of real human bodies
- Child asked for explicit photos or payment
- Child received explicit images from the abuser
- Predator engaged in repeated inappropriate sexual communication
Proof of Emotional or Physical Injury
Because abuse deeply affects a child’s life, a qualifying injury must also be present, including any of the following:
- PTSD, depression, anxiety, or suicidal ideation diagnosed after the abuse
- Medical treatment for physical or emotional harm
- Attempted suicide or self-harm
- Psychological counseling or substance-abuse treatment linked to the abuse
- School records showing behavioral or mental health decline
- Parent or victim can clearly describe noticeable life changes requiring professional support
Evidence Needed to Support a Claim
We understand that families may not have everything ready immediately. Our team will help you gather what you need. Preferred proof includes:
- Roblox username, email, or account information for the child and/or abuser
- Screenshots, messages, or chat logs (never send explicit child images – we will guide you)
- Details of how they met, games played, and timelines
- Medical or psychologist records, if applicable
- Witness statements or school records
If you don’t have records yet, that’s okay—you may still qualify. We will help you obtain what’s needed.
