Timothy N. Smith
Attorney-At-Law
Mr. Smith is a proud Houston native—born, raised, and educated in the Bayou City. After venturing to the scenic Hill Country for college, he briefly pursued a career in television production before answering a deeper calling: the law. In 1992, he began his legal education at the Bates School of Law, laying the foundation for what would become a decades-spanning career.
Upon graduating, Mr. Smith opened his own practice, embracing the challenges and rewards of being a sole practitioner. Over the years, he handled an array of legal matters including personal injury, criminal defense, probate, and family law. His wide-ranging experience gave him a unique and compassionate perspective on the legal needs of everyday people.
After nearly three decades of serving his community in a broad legal capacity, Mr. Smith chose in 2022 to narrow his focus exclusively to personal injury law—a field where his passion and advocacy could make the most meaningful impact. After a couple of years working within this niche, he found that the ideal place to champion his clients’ rights was at the law offices of Javier Marcos, where he continues his commitment to justice and client-centered legal representation.
Outside the courtroom, Mr. Smith finds peace in his garden and resilience as a long-suffering fan of the Houston Astros and Texans. When he’s not weathering another season of heartbreak, he and his wife enjoy speculating—often with great anticipation—about when their three grown children might make them grandparents.
