Richard P. Hill
Attorney-At-Law
Richard Hill is a seasoned trial lawyer who has been trying injury cases since 1988. With more than 25 first-chair jury trial victories in courts across Texas, he brings decades of courtroom leadership and proven results to every case he handles.
Richard’s deep knowledge of the trucking industry gives his clients a strategic edge. He began his legal career defending trucking companies and truck drivers in crash-related lawsuits. For eight years, he served as regional trial counsel in South Texas for a national trucking company. He then spent eleven years as in-house counsel for an international produce company, managing transportation and fleet matters, including first-party insurance claims.
This rare insider experience allows Richard to anticipate defense strategies, dissect trucking company policies, and identify critical regulatory violations that others may overlook.
In 2023, Richard earned Board Certification in Truck Accident Law from the National Board of Trial Advocacy after successfully completing a rigorous examination process. He has also been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization since 2005—an achievement that reflects his long-standing commitment to excellence in trial advocacy.
Richard is a member of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys (ATAA), the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, and the State Bar of Texas.
He earned his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1988 and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Houston. Go Coogs.
A native of South Texas, Richard enjoys hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors when he’s not in the courtroom fighting for injured clients.
