Matthew Reeves
Attorney-at-Law
Matt has been a lawyer in Houston for more than 20 years. After six years of working as an electrical engineer for PPG Industries, he went back to law school and earned his J.D. at South Texas College of Law.
He began his career practicing Intellectual Property law, focusing on patent, trademarks, copyrights, and related matters. Over the years his experience has ranged from obtaining patents for clients in technologies ranging from microprocessors to oil field equipment, to litigating patent and copyright cases in federal courts around the U.S. Although he typically defended clients against charges of patent infringement, he also obtained a $25 million dollar verdict in favor of a client whose patent on oilfield equipment had been infringed. Matt’s practice now focuses on using his litigation skills to seek justice for clients that have been seriously injured by the tortious actions of others.
